In order to make sure the California Public Utilities Commission doesn’t try to tax text messages again, Senator Jones is supporting Assembly Bill 162 by Assemblyman Kevin Kiley. AB 162 would prohibit the CPUC from collecting any revenue on communications classified as an information service by the Federal Communications Commission.
