State Senator Brian W. Jones (R-Santee) today announced that he has promoted Legislative & Communications Aide Nina Krishel to the position of Communications Director.
“During her three years with us Nina has done stellar work for our constituents in East and North San Diego County,” said Senator Brian W. Jones. “She has worked on numerous bills, staffed multiple committees, assisted on constituent cases, and helped lead our press and social media programs. I know she will continue to excel now as our Communications Director.”
Krishel is filling a vacant Communications Director position whose duties have been performed by other members of Team Jones over the last couple of years.
“Over the past three years, I’ve had the chance to serve Senate District 38 during extraordinarily challenging times,” said Nina Krishel. “Senator Jones’s commitment to making California a better place for his constituents is truly inspiring. I am so grateful and excited to help shine a light on his hard work in my new position as Communications Director. Thank you Senator Jones and Team Jones for this opportunity!”
Krishel initially came to the Capitol through the Senate Fellows Program after graduating from California Polytechnic State University, San Luis Obispo, with a Bachelor’s degree in English. She worked on both legislative and communication issues as a Senate Fellow, and later as a Legislative & Communications Aide. Krishel will be graduating in May from USC with a Masters in Public Administration.
