Senator Jones introduces Senate District 38 Woman of the Year, Dee Dean. The retired twenty-year Publisher of the East County Herald, Dee Dean, is an admired leader with an extensive record of service to East San Diego County. She has led Stoney’s Kids Legacy, which funds after school youth programs, summer camps, and sports and music equipment for the underserved – through the organization of their annual toy and food drives.
With an indomitable spirit, Dee battles Multiple Sclerosis. She educates the public, inspires others facing similar battles, and earned National MS Society’s Star Volunteer Award.
