During the Grossmont Healthcare District Board meeting this morning, Senator Brian W. Jones (R-Santee) “zoomed in” and surprised Chief Executive Officer Barry Jantz with a Senate Resolution honoring Jantz’s lifetime achievements and wishing him well on his retirement.
“Barry Jantz is an East County icon,” Senator Brian W. Jones told the assembled Grossmont Board members and staff. “His stellar work for Grossmont Healthcare is legendary and he will certainly be missed here. But now, he’ll have even more time for his many community service efforts and for advising young, green and bright-eyed politicos, such as a certain Santee City Council candidate several years ago. We all owe Barry a great deal of gratitude and I’m pleased to commend him on a great life devoted to helping others.”
San Diego County Supervisor Joel Anderson recently led the Board of Supervisors in recognizing Barry by declaring it “Barry Jantz Day” in San Diego County.
