“Measure would destroy 50,000+ jobs and raise gas prices to $10 per gallon”
Senator Brian W. Jones (R-Santee) this morning spoke out against, and voted against, Senate Bill 467 (authored by Scott Weiner, D-San Francisco and Monique Limon, D-Santa Barbara), a measure that would wipe out the oil industry in California.
“By banning all in-state oil and gas production, SB 467 will destroy 50,000+ jobs, make California nearly 100% reliant on foreign energy imports, and raise gas prices to as much as $10 per gallon,” stated Senator Brian W. Jones. “I stand in strong opposition to this ridiculous bill.”
