San Diego – State Senate Republican Caucus Chairman Brian Jones (R-Santee) will ride his own motorcycle with other motorcyclists in a rally starting at the El Cajon Harley Davidson to show support for San Diego’s law enforcement officers. The ride will pass various East County law enforcement agencies and San Diego Police Department Headquarters in downtown San Diego before returning to East County and ending the ride at La Mesa Police Department.
East County residents and Harley Riders Mike Harris, a retired United State Marine Corp veteran, and Roberta Pyle-Daniel were inspired to organize the ride to show support for police officers and all law enforcement under the banner of “Back the Badge”, a grassroots movement by citizens who want to demonstrate their appreciation and respect for local law enforcement departments in cities all across the country.
“I have a long history of standing up for the ‘blue line’ of men and women who wear a badge and put their lives on the line for us. Our law enforcement community is pummeled in the mainstream media every day. On Saturday I will ride my motorcycle to show my unyielding support for them.” said Senator Jones.
