Team Jones Welcomes New Hires in Capitol and District Offices

Senate Minority Leader Brian W. Jones (R-San Diego) announces new hiring to fill vacancies in his Capitol and District Offices. New team members include a District Director, Legislative Director, Legislative Aide, Executive Assistant/Scheduler, and District Representative.

"We’re excited to announce that our office is fully staffed," said Leader Jones. "Our team is dedicated to serving San Diegans and all Californians with enthusiasm and a strong commitment to our state. Their hard work ensures we continue delivering top-tier constituent services and effective representation in the State Capitol."

Capitol Office in Sacramento:

Jake Donahue joins Team Jones as a Legislative Director. Donahue graduated from the University of California Santa Cruz. Donahue previously served as a Communications Consultant in the Senate Republican Caucus. 

Robert Roque is now a Legislative Aide. Roque graduated from the University of California San Diego. Roque moves into his new role after serving as a District Representative for Leader Jones from 2019-2023 and as the Executive Assistant/Scheduler from 2023-2025.

Pearl Koven joins Team jones as the Executive Assistance/Scheduler. Koven graduated from the University of California San Diego. Koven previously interned in Leader Jones’ District Office in 2023, served as the Administrative Assistant for the East County Regional Chamber of Commerce from 2023-2024, and interned in Congressman Darrell Issa’s office in 2024.

District Office in Scripps Ranch:

Nicholas Brust is now the District Director. Brust graduated from California State University San Marcos. Brust moves into his new role after serving as a District Representative in Leader Jones’ District Office from 2023-2025.

Juliette Castner joins Team Jones as a District Representative. Castner graduated from San Diego State University. Castner previously served as an intern in Leader Jones’ District Office from 2024-2025.
