WHY?
California’s homeless population has increased nearly 40% in the past 6 years, despite spending over $22 billion on the problem. Sadly, California’s homelessness crisis has become a public health and safety crisis.
Modeled after the recent “Unsafe Camping Ordinance” passed by the City of San Diego, Leader Jones’s bipartisan bill will help compassionately clear encampments and help connect homeless individuals to services they desperately need.
