Team Jones welcomes new hires to fully staff Capitol and District offices

Senate Minority Leader Brian W. Jones announces new hiring to fill vacancies in his Capitol and District Offices. New team members include an Executive Assistant/Scheduler, Legislative Aide, Office Assistant, and two District Representatives.

“We are thrilled to announce our office is fully staffed,” said Leader Jones. “Our new team members bring enthusiasm for helping our constituents in San Diego and Californians statewide. Their commitment to our state is greatly appreciated and will help us continue providing top-notch constituent services and high-quality representation in the State Capitol.”

Capitol Office

Robert Roque is now the Executive Assistant/Scheduler for Leader Jones in his Capitol office. Roque moves into the role after serving as a District Representative for Leader Jones since 2019 in his El Cajon office. Roque graduated from the University of California San Diego. Roque will handle both District and Capitol scheduling.

Danielle Parsons will no longer be the interim Capitol scheduler and will continue serving in her role as Leader Jones’s Capitol Director.

John McHale joins Team Jones as a Legislative Aide. McHale previously served as a Legislative Aide and Field Representative for Senator Brian Dahle from 2022-2023. Previously, he was an International Trade Assistant for the U.S. Department of Commerce. McHale graduated from Arizona State University with a Bachelor of Global Management.

Jasmine Diaz joins the Capitol team as an office assistant. Diaz graduated from Sacramento State with a degree in Public Relations.

District Office

Nicholas Brust and Kyle Hermann join Team Jones as District Representatives working out of his El Cajon District Office, which will soon be relocated to Scripps Ranch.

Brust fills a vacant position previously held by Roque. He recently worked as the ASB Director for Fallbrook High School. Burst graduated from California State University San Marcos.

Hermann fills a vacant position whose duties have been performed by other members of Team Jones over the last few years. He previously worked as a teacher at Foothills Christian High School. Hermann graduated from Liberty University.
